My Path to Dog Training
My journey into dog training has been anything but linear. Having grown up surrounded by dogs of nearly every breed, my passion for canine behavior was rooted early on. Yet, it was my parallel passion for leadership—particularly people leadership—that initially shaped my professional path. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of leading large, diverse teams across cultures and continents, cultivating environments where individuals could thrive. This experience taught me the essence of influence, empathy, and the importance of creating space for growth - principles that translate remarkably well to the world of dog training.
The turning point came when I adopted Apollo, an 80-pound Doberman Pinscher with intense reactivity and resistance to traditional training methods. Despite working with multiple trainers, progress was limited. It was through this challenge that I realized the need to better understand the intricacies of behavior—not just in people, but in dogs. I became a dedicated student of canine psychology and professional dog training, driven by the desire to become the handler Apollo needed in order to truly thrive.
What began as a personal mission evolved into a professional calling. I’ve since developed practical, results-driven methods that demystify dog behavior and communication, empowering owners to build meaningful, respectful relationships with their dogs. My goal is simple: to help both dog and human succeed, together.
